From a young age, Marah's mother, being a famous painter, exposed her to a constant flow of sculptors, photographers, painters and filmmakers. Her bohemian, artistic roots fueled her creativity, giving her a passion for aesthetics. For many years, she worked in the corporate world designing for companies such as Robinsons May and Nordstrom. After discovering a blue stone from her husband's travel souvenirs and a romantic, treasure hunt through the Caribbean, Marah found Larimar's origins and a new design endeavor was born.
