Movado modernizes Museum collection

Movado has expanded its range of Museum Class timepieces with a modernised addition. The watchmaker has introduced the next generation of its ‘iconic’ range, featuring a full-lacquer dial, a slimmer case and a stitched strap. The dial is available in black or blue, with concave dot and dauphine hands, while the case is comes in stainless steel, yellow or rose gold and black PVD-finished stainless steel. The 2018 family has a 28mm piece for women and a 40mm wristwatch for men. Earlier this year the watch brand’s parent organisation, the Movado Group, announced it was planning to drive forward with a heavier digital focus. Efraim Grinberg, chairman and CEO of Movado Group said that it expects the company’s “positive momentum” to continue into fiscal 2019 after rounding off its latest financial year with a 14% rise in quarterly sales. Sales at the business soared by 27% to $127m for the three months to April 3 2018, . Source
