The latest Bonhams Fine Watches and Wristwatches held in London last week fetched almost £2m, marking one of the ‘largest sales to date’. The event, which took place on June 20, saw 80% of lots sold on the day achieving a total of £1,840,438. The top lot of the sale was the Rolex Paul Newman Cosmograph Daytona which exceeded its pre-sale estimate of £150,000-180,000, selling for £212,500.
