Inside the Audemars Piguet ladies' lunch event

Luxury watchmaker, Audemars Piguet, recently hosted an intimate ladies' lunch in Sydney to showcase the brand's take on designing timepieces for women Hosted by our very own editor-in-chief, Edwina McCann, attendees sat down to a table adorned with delicate florals designed by Hermetica Flowers, with a menu designed by the Quay team of chefs-including a salad of stracciatella, broad beans, peas, pistachios and pepitas, a strawberries and cream-inspired dessert, and petit fours As the afternoon progressed, Audemars Piguet's regional marketing and operations director, Stefanie Ng, revealed a rare selection of the brand's vintage timepieces-some of which dated back to 1883, before guests were given a preview of their 2019 Millenary collection for women.

Designed with neo-classical beauty in mind, each piece in the new collection invites the wearer to look right into the heart of its singular mechanism with its off-centre dial and elliptical case With 18-carat white gold and pink gold cases on offering-each of them featuring the option for interchangeable straps, crystal case backs and diamond-set bezel stones-the new collection provides a style to suit each of its individual customers Audemars Piguet watchmaker, Malika Schuepbach, who travelled all the way from Le Brassus in Switzerland to attend the event, took centre-stage after Ng's presentation to talk guests through her personal process behind watchmaking and restoring vintage timepieces, and even took the opportunity to show attendees the process in action.

Guests also received custom flower posies to take home as a special token of the memorable afternoon. . Source
