Hands-On The Birchall & Taylor Reference 1, With Grand Feu Enamel Dial

Hands-On The Birchall & Taylor Reference 1, With Grand Feu Enamel Dial

On the wrist, the Reference 1 wears exactly how you think a minimalist, slim, time-only steel watch would wear It's very comfortable, sitting low to the wrist and without too much heft This is definitely the kind of watch you could wear all day and easily forget about, only remembering you've got it on when you look down and catch a glimpse of it peeking out from under your sleeve.

The style is very minimal, even for someone like me who's been known to spend more money to get versions of things without the usual logos I kind of dig it, mostly because the enamel has a pleasant, warm sheen to it I think if this were a flat white dial it would read a little plain.

The little things do, in this case, make the biggest difference. . Source
