The 1989 picture, which starred Timothy Dalton in his final appearance as Bond, was also the last film in the series in which the secret agent wore a Rolex Sean Connery wears two watches in Thunderball when playing James Bond "Here we have a Geiger counter, useful and unobtrusive," Q tells Bond.

A Seiko graced the wrist of Roger Moore in The Spy Who Loved Me, which memorably delivers an important message to Bond via ticker tape that reads: "007 TO REPORT TO HQ IMMEDIATE M" The film cemented Seiko's place in history, although promotional images of The Spy Who Loved Me do show Moore wearing a Rolex GMT-Master.
