A lifelong love affair with watches

I've had an adult love affair with watches, primarily the non-quartz, mainspring kind that needs resetting constantly and attention of a skilled watchmaker when it runs into trouble Tissot still makes automatic Swiss watches but this original one was the only model I had and was my only time piece for years Over the years, I've owned and worn several Heuers, Hamiltons, Breitlings and a Rolex GMT-Master II that served as my primary watch while running around the world in different time zones and working out of Washington.

Among my automatic Swiss watches, I found Breitlings more accurate and I like their design better than the GMT My preferred watch in recent years is a Breitling Avenger chronograph, which keeps good time and provides a chronograph that times up to 12 hours) but my backup has been a Citizen AT "Navihawk" quartz model that I bought in Washington in the late 1990s It is battle scarred from years of use and abuse but still keep accurate time in any of multiple time zones.

Unlike the NaviHawk, which has two LCD screens in the analog face, the World Chronograph is an all-analog face that uses the latest Eco-Drive system for light power from either the sun or indoor sources, resets the time if needed at 2 a.m each day and provides easy access to the exact time in 26 time zones around the world The Atomic Time clock function automatically resets the watch when needed for Daylight Savings Time or back to Standard Time without any interference from me.
