Local rocket engineer teams up with jewelry engraver to make medical supplies

People across the country are turning their businesses and day jobs into making and distributing medical supplies Here in the Valley, a jewelry engraver has teamed up with a rocket engineer to make shields and masks "This is what we are packaging right now," Marcos Garciaacosta, the Open Source COVID-19 Medical Supplies-AZ chapter head, said.

Marcos, a mechanical engineer who designs rockets, and his team are working out of Engrave My Memories in Chandler In addition to the shields, the team is also making masks "We've given out probably about or 300 masks so far," Marcos said.
