Houston's Rising Star Jewelry Designer Stuns With Southwestern Style

Houston-based jewelry designer Christina Greene is riding high these days She has just introduced her 16th collection of must-have, wallet-friendly jewelry A graduate of Texas Christian University and Parsons School of Design, Greene launched her flourishing enterprise in 2011 after being stopped at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo by a woman who admired her bracelet, which Greene had designed, and bought it right off of Greene's wrist.

It's no surprise then that her turquoise, black onyx and mother of pearl pieces bear a southwestern influence "The brand is known for southwestern inspired statement pieces so with this line I wanted to take a step back from the expected and add something different to my collection," she tells PaperCity Each design of bracelets, rings earrings and necklaces comes in any of her three signature stones - Kingman turquoise from Arizona and black onyx and mother of pearl from selected experts in Jaipur, India.

The pieces are priced from $125 to $358 The same necklace with black onyx or mother of pearl is priced at $350 While Greene's collections are carried locally by Tootsies and Dillard's, the Geometric is being introduced online, prior to being available in stores. Source
