The London-based brand was established in 2013 by Anna Jewsbury, after studying Mathematics & Philosophy at Oxford University and it's accurate to say that her pieces - whether it be the jewelry or the ceramic collections, have been loved from the get go It's no surprise that the appeal is universal; think a jewelry collection that has fluidity, form and purity in abundance FC: Tell us about your background.
AJ: I studied maths and philosophy at university but have always been obsessed with beautiful objects since childhood and in starting Completedworks felt driven by a desire to create something new With jewelry I really felt that you could do that - you wear it and it becomes a talking point AJ: We've had many iterations since we've started, experimenting with both fine and fashion jewelry, always trying to maintain a distinct point of view in quite a noisy and saturated market.
AJ: We launched our first collection of ceramic vases and objects with Matchesfashion.com in 2019 as part of a collaboration with artist, and long-time friend of the brand, Ekaterina Bazhenova-Yamasaki The final forms of clay and sculpture were something we also started exploring with our jewelry without necessarily understanding the process of working with clay. .
