Cleave and Company creates wedding rings for Duke and Duchess of Sussex

Court Jewellers and Medallists to Her Majesty The Queen, Cleave and Company, created the royal wedding rings. The royal couple asked the British jeweller responsible for creating Meghan Markle’s engagement ring to also make their wedding bands. Meghan Markle’s wedding ring has been fashioned from a piece of Welsh Gold, gifted by Her Majesty The Queen, and Prince Harry has a platinum band with a textured finish. Both wedding rings were crafted in the Cleave and Company workshop. The Duke of Cambridge carried the rings to St George’s Chapel on the day of the wedding, and handed them over to the Archbishop of Canterbury during the ceremony. In front of the nation, camera’s zoomed in to show Meghan Markle has a thin, yellow gold wedding band to compliment her engagement ring. While it was speculated the groom would also have a ring adorned with Welsh Gold, as is royal tradition, Prince Harry actually has a platinum . Source
