Colored Stones Diploma recipients learn how to grade and identify common and unusual gemstones found in today’s marketplace. They practice grading color and clarity by applying GIA’s Colored Stone Grading System and learn how to use standard gemological equipment to distinguish between natural, treated, and synthetic gemstones. In addition graduates develop the skills to translate this knowledge directly to real business circumstances such as buying and selling colored gemstones.
